Minority Ethnic Energy Advice Project (MEEAP)

The Minority Ethnic Energy Advice Project (MEEAP) was launched in December 2022 to support minority ethnic individuals living in Glasgow. The project is funded for 12 months by Energy Action Scotland’s William Grant Foundation Fuel Poverty Challenge Fund.

The project focuses on reducing fuel poverty, eliminating inequality, improving community cohesion and offering tailored support to ‘difficult to reach’ households. This is done through:

  • our energy advice hub, where individuals receive one-to-one advice and support on energy
  • events and workshops which provide the information and skills needed to make homes more energy efficient
  • energy audits
