Our Services
Our community services provide free support to communities across Scotland, with particular focus on our local community in the Maryhill area, minority ethnic women across the West of Scotland and community groups and organisations across Scotland.
With the help of local partnerships near our new location, we embarked on an exciting project to build a community garden that would be truly inclusive and representative of the people it serves.
The Shuna Street Community Garden is the result of a collaborative effort, with the community taking the lead in designing, planning, and bringing this space to life.
We now run regular blocks of weekly gardening sessions, where participants can:
Learn basic gardening skills
Learn how to grow their own food
Plant and grow their own vegetables and herbs in the garden

This service aims to empower minority ethnic women to become part of civic society, with enhanced opportunities to join civic structures and influence change in democratic processes. This involves joining structures such as education boards, equality and diversity groups, community planning councils, etc.
The service runs a range of training and capacity building workshops on topics such as:
- communication skills
- meeting skills
- public speaking
- digital skills
- leadership skills
- the Equality Act 2010

This service aims to bridge the gap between minority ethnic communities and the heritage sector, in Scotland.
Through the delivery of training, consultancy, support and advice, this service guides organisations to better engage with minority ethnic communities and vice versa.
The service provides support through:
EDI Training and Consultancy support to heritage sector staff
Facilitated workshops between key stakeholders and minority ethnic led groups
General promotion of the historic environment and cultural heritage
