Feedback

“The impact of the WSREC partnership is evident in the changing approach around recruitment and readiness to engage with underrepresented groups in our society. In my observation, colleagues at HES are actively seeking ways to make our organisation a diverse and inclusive workplace. With WSREC`s support, we aspire to achieve our equality outcomes with a focus on the recruitment of a diverse workforce, board, and volunteer base.”

“I will think more about the language that I use. I think that this really opened my eyes to ingrained behaviours and how you can inadvertently say something or put a process in place which can cause discrimination, even when you are trying to be open and inclusive. I would like to work more with HR and WSREC in any future recruitment.”

“As part of the Inclusive Heritage Partnership Project the HES Learning and Inclusion Team have been supported in setting up an equalities development plan that will help us integrate more inclusive content and engagement opportunities within our services and programme. This included a full day workshop at Stirling Castle where the team were introduced to equalities issues and the antiracist curriculum being developed in schools. This was a valuable experience that helped stimulate discussion and generate ideas. We look forward to working with the WSREC team to help develop our plan over the coming year.”
